Our guests enjoy the culinary freedom to consume less than a four-course meal on half board, to wander where their choice takes them to a nearby restautant or a traditional mountain hut, or even to stay in our hotel. That's why we offer our hotel menu.

We have tried to integrate the theme of herbs in this menu. Additionally we've kept to the idea of the traditional Tyrolean cuisine and have stumbled upon a short tale about the Tyrolean dumpling, which we'll tell you about at the end of this page.

The use of herbs and spices is as old as cookery itself. Many of them were at the same time also used for healing. And until today they are the heart of the art of cooking.

* These dishes are only served in winter. Our summer guests enjoy the long days on the terraces of the village centre or in the mountain huts.

Legend of the Tyrolean Dumpling

Long ago in the Tyrolean city of Hall a horde of soldiers descended on the the Gasthof „Zu den drei Lilien“ late one night and demanded - with menaces - wine and a warm meal. The hosts tried to convince the angry soldiers that the war conditions and pillage had mean that provisions were not available to feed them all. But nothing convinced the soldiers and the lady of the house had to head for the kitchen. In desperation she mixed together bits of stale bread, flour, bacon, sausage, milk and eggs, added some chopped parsley and moulded the mixture into cannon balls, to quiet the returning heroes. The steaming dumplings went down a treat with the hungry soldiers and soon the recipe was spread throughout the region.
