Bed and Breakfast Pension or Hotel Garni?
What is the difference between a bed and breakfast pension and a hotel garni?
According to the Austrian hotel classification, there is no difference in classification between a three star hotel garni and a three star bed-and-breakfast pension. Of course, most bed-and-breakfast pensions will not have facilities for serving evening meals, which is possible at the Hotel Garni Olympia, and most bed-and-breakast pensions in Seefeld are not as large and do not have as many facilities as the Olympia. On the other hand, a bed and breakfast pension may be more suited to those seeking an informal and private atmosphere.
Here is the official description from the Hotel Section of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce:
Three Star Category
Establishments in this classification range from small, family-operated businesses to larger, modern hotels. Featuring comfortable , well maintained and tastefully decorated public areas and bedrooms, they offer a selective variety of amenities. The visitor can expect private bathrooms with bath and/or shower. Hotels at this level will appeal to the cost-conscious guest for whom comfort is nonetheless a priority.
Whichever you choose, a hotel garni or a bed and breakfast pension, a holiday in Seefeld is always worthwhile and we wish you the best for your stay in our village.
